Imagine yourself in a radio interview with your web-cam on talking to thousands of people around the world.
Listeners are calling in asking questions about you and your book. Listeners are chatting in the chat room, asking questions, collaborating with other fans. Several other listeners join in on their web-cams. There is an energy, buzz in the studio. They all want to be more related to you, it's like a book signing on steroids.
How would you prepare your interviewer to make the above a reality? What questions could the interviewer ask that would draw useful information from you? How would you be useful to the radio program. How would you be knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time?
Listeners are looking for something interesting and entertaining first, so anything you can offer that will be entertaining to the audience, use that as a basis for creating your questions for the interviewer. Don't be shy to include an interesting angle about you personally or the book itself.
Ok, you pulled it off. The interview was a great success! You got to mention several times on the radio show where the listeners can purchase your book. As a result you made more book sales. What's next?
How about starting your own weekly radio show about your book? Tune-in for that as my next post in this blog.
